CHINA
Rescheduling marijuana would be a huge gift to China. Beijing has deep links to groups allegedly involved with illegal grow operations around the country. Supercharging the legal market, as rescheduling will do, will supercharge the illegal market as well (just look at the thousands of illegal pot shops in New York City versus the dozens of legal ones).
MAHA
Make America Healthy Again, or MAHA, is a key sector of the president’s base and a key theme of his policy posture. Weed definitely will NOT make America (or any other country) healthy again. It’s linked to heart disase, dementia, genetic problems, and even tooth decay and uncontrollable vomiting. Rescheduling this drug is a recipe for MASA, Making America Sicker Again.
GOLDEN AGE
President Trump has promised a new Golden Age for America, with better lives for families and communities across the nation. Everything we know about marijuana and its bad effects on mental health (especially among young people) is scary. Flashing a green light that it’s somehow OK will do the opposite of bringing a new Golden Age.
